These are the perfect combination of chewy and crispy!
1/2 cup butter
1/2 cup crisco
3/4 cup sugar
3/4 cup brown sugar
1 tsp vanilla
2 eggs
1 tsp baking soda
1 tsp salt
2 1/4 cups flour
1 bag chocolate chips

1 c. chopped nuts (optional)
Bake at 375 for 7-9 minutes
NOTE: (they will still be kinda soft....but let them sit on the cookie sheet an additional 2-3 minutes...then I cool them on parchment or waxed paper)
