Holiday Chex Mix (aka Christmas Crack)

Best. Stuff. Ever.
Really.
Just try to make this and NOT eat the whole thing by yourself in one sitting. SO addicting!


1 large box Rice Chex
1 large box Golden Grahams
1 7 oz bag shredded coconut
1 bag slivered almonds

1 tsp. vanilla
3 sticks butter
2 cups sugar
2 cups corn syrup

Combine Chex, Golden Grahams, coconut and almonds in large mixing bowl and stir to combine.
In large sauce pan bring to a boil the butter, sugar and corn syrup. Boil for about 7 minutes or until 234° "soft ball" stage on a candy thermometer.
Pour over cereal. Stir until covered. Pour onto 2 cookie sheets (or a wax paper covered counter) & let cool, stirring occasionally to prevent clumping.
Store in an airtight container.
